Air Conditioner
Finally something simple and efficient for your
Farm or Construction equipment. The problem with portable cooling
is getting the cool air where you need it and still have room
for the cooling system. The new Flex
Hose Kit will revolutionize portable 12-volt cooling by helping
combat the extreme heat in your equipment and make the location
of the portable system very flexible.
Of course a 12-volt Roof Top Air Conditioner would be ideal if
it were not for the dust rolling up behind and into the air intake
on the top. We have a great Roof
Top Air Conditioner, however without some modification you
cannot eliminate the dust problem. It would be easier to set a
MW1 (left with hose kit) or MK3
(right above) out of the way somewhere inside the cab and direct
the Flex Hose Kit directly at the operator containing the cool
air
One of the differences between a Tractor Air Conditioner
and an Evaporative Cooler are the methods used to produce cool
air. Evaporative Cooling has cool air that feels like an ocean
breeze. Tractor Air Conditioning has dry cool air like you feel
in an aircraft cabin. People in dry climates generally prefer
the feel of Evaporative Cooling and those in humid areas generally
choose Tractor Air Conditioning. With the Model MK3
you can have the best of both worlds by using with just water
in dry climates or ice in humid areas!
A 12-volt Portable Tractor Air Conditioner or Evaporative
Cooler is preferred if installing an after market Tractor Air
Conditioner is not economically feasible. Also if repairing factory
installed Air Conditioning is not possible, then consideration
should be made towards an Alternative. A Portable 12-volt Tractor
Cooler can be moved from vehicle to vehicle and will provide relief
for one or two people while providing economy and less strain
on the engine.
One gallon (3.75 liters) of water will last around two
to three hours in the daytime and four to five hours during the
night when used for evaporative cooling in dry desert climates.
The "Ice Water" models are capable of using up to 20
pounds (9.0 kilograms) of ice per hour during the day and up to
13 pounds (5.9 kilograms) at night.
A 105 Deep Cycle battery, not being charged, allows the MW1 &
MW2 to operate for 50 to 80 hours and the "Ice Water"
models will operate for 25 to 35 hours. The Swampy Models will
operate about 8 hours as they draw more energy. This makes the
MightyKool Models far more popular for use when the battery is
not being charged at the same time as using a Cooling System.
