What is meant by a Swampy *DUAL Air Conditioner System?

All of our "Ice Water" models feature our reliable heat exchanger just like the evaporators in refrigerated systems. Ice water is pumped through the heat exchanger at the rate of more than 300 gallons per hour, then the hot ambient air moves through the heat exchanger and is conditioned into cold healthy air. In addition we introduced Dual cooling in all our "Ice Water" models (except the AC12) to help reduce temperatures even further. We engineered our tried and proven Evaporative System into each one of these Models. Some Evaporation is always available even in the most humid conditions.

The Dual models help eliminate the discomfort you experience with humidity as long as you are using Ice as in fact these models automatically dispose of the condensation collected. These six Dual models are always desirable in humid areas and also in dry climates when colder air is desired. Using the evaporative principle these Dual models will also cool using just water when the air is dryer, making them the premium choice in 12-volt Air Conditioning. The six "Ice Water" Models that contain the Dual System are the Swampy IM20 & IM30 and the MightyKool M200, M400, MK3, MK4 & MG3. For more information on "Ice Water" Systems click on Ice Use.

Which is the best 12-volt Model to Choose?
The MightyKool MW1 Evaporative Cooler is always the choice for boaters and campers when cooling is needed in dry climates. The M400 or MK3 or MK4 are the choices for those uses in humid areas. The Swampy T154 has been popular in moving vehicles as the air vents are easier to position, however now with the Flex Hose Kit the MW1 & MW2 is more popular than the T154. Also the MW1 & MW2 produce slightly cooler air than the T154 especially when the air becomes slightly more humid in arid areas.

One of the "Ice Water" Models are always the choice in typically humid areas or where it is important to keep the doors and windows closed like doing surveillance. The Dual cooling "Ice Water" models also cool once the ice melts, however you must follow the evaporative cooling rules by having good ventilation like having the windows down to keep from building up more humidity. The MightyKool Dual models work better than the other Swampy Icester Dual models when using just water as explained in the above paragraph.

What are the Dimensions, Amperage Draw and Water Capacity?

One gallon (3.75 liters) of water will last around two to three hours in the daytime and four to five hours during the night when used for evaporative cooling in dry desert climates. The "Ice Water" models are capable of using up to 20 pounds (9.0 kilograms) of ice per hour during the day and up to 13 pounds (5.9 kilograms) at night.

A 105 Deep Cycle battery, not being charged, allows the MW1 & MW2 to operate for 50 to 80 hours and the "Ice Water" models will operate for 25 to 35 hours. The Swampy Models will operate about 8 hours as they draw more energy. This makes the MightyKool Models far more popular for use when the battery is not being charged at the same time as using a Cooling System.
